Permissions Release Log

Permissions determine the specific actions or operations that users can perform. As new On Key Plus features are developed, new permissions are introduced. When a client is upgraded to a new version of On Key Plus, the permissions added between the client's previous version and the upgraded version need to be assigned to the client's security roles. The Permissions Release Log provides an efficient way to identify these new permissions.

Below is a list of descriptions for the displayed fields.

  • Release: Permission records are grouped by the versions of On Key Plus that the client has used. For example, if a client upgrades from version 2023.14.0 to version 2025.17.0, the Permissions Release Log displays all the permissions that were introduced in versions 15, 16 and 17 with 2025.17.0 in the Release field.
Keep in mind that the Permissions Release Log was introduced in On Key Plus version 2024.14.0, hence all permissions that were introduced before version 2024.14.0 will have Release value Until 2024.13.0.
  • Category: The permission category, for example Assets and Maintenance Plans.
  • Subcategory: The permission subcategory, for example Task Configuration.
  • Entity Name: The entity against which the permission exists, for example TypeOfWork.
  • Name: The name of the permission, for example ChangeCode.
  • Permission ID: The unique identifier for the specific permission.
